The Sheboygan Police Department is teaming with local McDonald’s restaurants to host “Coffee with a Cop”. The program has been utilized nationally and has teamed area restaurants with their local law enforcement agencies with the overall goal of opening communication and building relationships with community members.
The premise of the program is to provide the opportunity for community members to meet with local law enforcement in an informal space to discuss community issues and get to know officers in their neighborhood while enjoying a free cup of coffee. “Coffee with a Cop” provides an opportunity for community members to ask questions and learn more about the Sheboygan Police Departments efforts within their community.
The “Coffeee with a Cop” program will take place at three Sheboygan McDonald’s during the month of December, 2015. The time will be from 8:30 AM to 10:00 AM at all three locations.
The dates and locations are:
December 8th, 2015, McDonald’s North, 2307 North Avenue
December 16th, 2015, McDonald’s West, 3418 Kohler Memorial Drive
December 30th, 2015, McDonald’s South, 2425 South Business Drive
“The concept of sitting down with a friend, having a cup of coffee, and discussing current events is a reality that occurs every day. The ability for citizens to do the same with a police officer is an opportunity that benefits all involved”. Capt. James Veeser
