When a snow emergency is in effect, Charter Channel 95 or 990 will have a message stating that the city is in a snow emergency. Local radio stations, such as WHBL AM 1330, will also broadcast information. For more information call the City’s Info-Line at (920) 459-3460.

Winter Parking Rules

From December 1 to April 30, overnight winter parking regulations are in effect between the hours of 12:00 am and 6:00 am.

Alternate Side Parking: Vehicles must alternate sides for overnight parking.

On odd-numbered days, between the hours of 12:00 am and 6:00 am vehicles shall only be parked on that side of the street having odd-numbered street addresses. (East and South Sides)

On even-numbered days, between the hours of 12:00 am and 6:00 am, vehicles shall only be parked on that side of the street having even-numbered street addresses. (North and West Sides)

Streets posted with “No Parking,” restrictions shall remain in effect; therefore are NOT under alternate side parking rules.

***The simple rule: PARK FOR TOMORROW***

Snow Emergency Parking Rules

A snow emergency can be declared between November 1st to April 30th.

Parking of vehicles on designated snow emergency routes, boulevards, cul-de-sacs, and dead-end streets is completely prohibited during the period of a snow emergency until plowing of both sides of the snow emergency routes, boulevards, cul-de-sacs, and dead-end streets has been completed. Vehicles can only return to the aforementioned streets after the City of Sheboygan announces the end to snow emergency operations.

Vehicles illegally parked will be ticketed and towed.

When a snow emergency exists, vehicles parking on non-snow emergency routes between the hours of 12:00 midnight and 6 a.m. shall only park on the even sides of the streets (North and West sides) on even days.

When a snow emergency exists, vehicles parking on non-snow emergency routes between the hours of 12 midnight and 6 a.m. shall only park on the odd sides of the streets (South and East sides) on odd days.

All streets with “No Parking” restrictions relating to parking on one side of the street shall follow odd/even parking rules during a snow emergency.

When a snow emergency is in effect, the news stations will have a message stating that the city is in a snow emergency.
