Weekend Weapons Incidents

June 19, 2023 by Cal Stoffel

The Sheboygan Police Department is investigating two reported incidents from the weekend involving firearms.

The first incident occurred on Saturday, June 17th, shortly after 11 pm, in the 1800 block of N. 10th St. A group of juveniles reported that they were walking home when they were approached by four teens who stole a bike that one of the juveniles had been pushing, and that a handgun was displayed by one of the suspects.

Also, on Sunday, June 18th, shortly after 1 am, officers responded to N. 10th St. and Michigan Ave. for a report of shots fired. Investigating officers were able to confirm that a single shot was fired by an adult male who had been involved in a physical fight with other adults in the area.

These incidents are both considered isolated with no ongoing threat to the public, and no injuries were reported.

Investigators are actively pursuing leads in both cases, and anyone with additional information regarding either incident is asked to contact the Sheboygan Police Department at 920-459-3333. Those wishing to remain anonymous may provide information through Sheboygan Countywide Crime Stoppers at cufthem.com or 877-CUF-THEM (877-283-8436).
