UPDATE: Police Investigate Large Disturbance with Shots Fired

April 17, 2025 by Cal Stoffel

UPDATE:
The investigation shows that on the night of this incident (3/30/25), a verbal disturbance occurred outside of a tavern which was broken up by officers on foot patrol. The two groups met at End Park, where a physical altercation started between two male adults. During the fight, members from both sides armed themselves with handguns, which eventually led to gunfire being exchanged by both sides. Thankfully, nobody was struck by gunfire or seriously injured during this incident.

The responsible suspects are both male and female and range in age from 19 to 24 years old. They reside in Sheboygan, Chicago, Milwaukee, or Fond du Lac. As of 4/16/25, we have taken 10 people into custody during this ongoing investigation. Four suspects are still outstanding, and when this investigation concludes, we expect to have 14 people in custody and referred to the District Attorney’s Office for charging. The charges range from 1st degree recklessly endangering safety, felon in possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct while armed, disorderly conduct, and violations of city park curfew.

The Sheboygan Police Department would like to thank all those who have helped with this investigation.
