On May 3, 2019, at approximately 5:00 PM, Sheboygan Police along with the Sheboygan Fire Department responded to the Mead Public Library, 710 N. 8th Street, after library staff located an unconscious male in their restroom. Responding officers located a 28-year-old deceased male in a bathroom stall. The subsequent investigation conducted by Sheboygan Police, Sheboygan MEG and the Sheboygan County Medical Examiner’s Office revealed that the victim’ s death was consistent with a drug overdose.
Further investigation revealed that a 28-year-old female and a 28-year-old male associate of the victim had purchased heroin from a residence in the 800 block of Bluff Avenue in Sheboygan and provided the heroin to the victim just prior to his death. Police served a search warrant at the residence on Bluff Avenue and located marijuana, heroin and cash. The 36-year-old male resident was arrested and placed in the Sheboygan County Detention Center on various drug charges as well as a probation hold.
A search warrant was also served at the male associate’s residence in the 1500 block of Blocki Court in Sheboygan. Officers located suspected heroin, marijuana, drug paraphernalia, prescription drugs and assorted firearms in the residence. The male resident was placed in the Sheboygan County Detention Center on various drug-related charges. The female associate was placed in the detention center on a probation hold. The case has been referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office for review.
