On 12-10-16, the Sheboygan Police Department, with the assistance of generous community stakeholders, will initiate a holiday program called “Operation Blue Santa”. The program is designed to provide gifts and dinner to families who need a “helping hand” during the holiday season.
Andrew Kundinger, the Sheboygan Police Department Neighborhorhood Beat Officer, approached members of the department with the idea of continuing to develop relationships with community members while providing a memorable holiday season. “Our department strives to build lasting relationships on a daily basis and the ability to do this for people who need a helping hand during the holiday season is even more significant”.
“Stakeholders donated money and food while officers designed a “Blue Santa” who will deliver gifts to the children of the families. Officers also volunteered their time to be with the families in their homes during the visit by “Blue Santa” and will be spending time getting to know each family over a holiday dinner.”
The Sheboygan Police Department wishes to recognize the generous donors who assisted with the effort. These being Olivu 426, HUB International, Woodlake Market, Sheboygan Police Benevolent Association, Trattoria Stefano, Nourish and Wisconsin Bank and Trust.
