Fatal Traffic Accident

The Sheboygan Police Department is investigating a fatal accident involving a pedestrian.
The crash happened on 03/25/2019, at 11:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of Taylor Drive, just south of Erie Avenue. A vehicle driving southbound struck a pedestrian who was walking in the southbound traffic lanes.
Sheboygan Police Officers and firefighter paramedics performed life-saving measures on the scene. The victim was transported to St. Nicholas hospital but did not survive.
At this time, the identities of those involved in this crash are being withheld while the investigation is being conducted and the family of the decedent is located and proper notification is made.
The SPD Crash Reconstruction Team is leading the investigation of this accident. The southbound lanes of Taylor Drive remain closed between Erie Avenue and Taylor Heights Frontage Road while the scene investigation is taking place. Southbound traffic is being re-routed onto eastbound Erie Avenue.
There may be witnesses who saw this crash but left before they were contacted by police. Anyone who witnessed this crash is asked to contact the Sheboygan Police Department at (920)459-3333.
