The City of Sheboygan is now accepting applications for the fall session of their Landlord Training Program, which will take place on Thursday, November 3, 2022 at City Hall in the Council Chambers. The registration deadline is Friday, October 21, 2022, and the cost is $10.

What you can expect to learn from the Landlord Training Program:

  • How code compliance (preparing the property) can protect your rights as a landlord.
  • The benefits of fair and legal practices of tenant screening. How to implement them.
  • Action you must take if you discover illegal activities at your property.
  • An overview of legal rights and responsibilities for both tenants and landlords.

You will also be able to get your questions answered by a local attorney who specializes in landlord/tenant law. The training will also have members of the MEG Unit, Police Department, Fire Department, and City Planning & Building Inspection available for questions and answers as they present their roles in landlord/tenant safety.

The program includes a 100+ page resource manual, training materials, and light food and beverages. All RSVP’s are required before Friday, October 21, 2022.

To register, please print the registration form and mail it with $10 payment to the City of Sheboygan. Specific instructions are on the form. If you prefer, you may also register electronically.
