Sheboygan Police

K9 Fundraiser

The Sheboygan Police Department has maintained a K-9 program since 1989. The K-9 Unit has been proven to be an important tool utilized by the police to combat crime and build community relations. The department’s goal is to continue to provide this significant service to the citizens of Sheboygan. The current cost of outfitting a K-9 team (officer, K-9, vehicle, etc.) is approximately $75,000 and is not traditionally funded governmentally. Your police department’s goal is to seek assistance from the community in order to raise funds to place two K-9 Units into service in 2019.

How Our K-9’s Assist our Community…

  • Canines are a visible deterrent.
  • Canines detect and locate illegal drugs that have been concealed.
  • Canines track criminals who have fled the scene.
  • Canines search for missing persons.

In addition, the Sheboygan Police Department uses our canines as the “community’s best friends.” Our current dogs, K9 Grimm and K9 Max, are on the road every day creating a bridge between the police department and the community.

Officer Anna Taylor & K-9 Max

As stated, the Sheboygan Police Department Canine Unit is seeking support through community donations in order to stay a safe, drug-free community.

Fundraising will be used to offset the costs associated with the recent acquisition of K-9 Max and K-9 Grimm.  We are grateful to those who have supported our K-9 program in the past and we need your help to maintain our current level of K-9 services.

We have currently raised $101,860.99

We want to say thank you to all of our donors. A special recognition to the following donors:
