Please Help ID Vehicle in Hit and Run

UPDATE: Suspect Arrested, Vehicle Located

On 10/9/24, the Sheboygan Police Department, with the assistance of the Ozaukee County Sheriff’s Department, arrested a 41-year-old male from Fredonia. The vehicle used in this incident was recovered in Milwaukee and the suspect was taken to the Sheboygan County Detention Center for a probation violation. The suspect is being referred to the Sheboygan County District Attorney’s Office for a charge of hit and run causing great bodily harm. The victim remains in critical condition at Froedtert Hospital. The incident remains under investigation. We would like to thank the public for the many tips we received regarding this incident.

On 10/6/24 at 5:47 AM Sheboygan Police Officers and Sheboygan Fire Department EMS responded to the intersection of S 8 St. and Spring Ave for a bicyclist struck by a vehicle. A 60-year-old Sheboygan woman was traveling southbound on S. 8 St. on a bicycle when an unidentified vehicle struck her. The cyclist sustained significant injuries and was transported via Flight for Life to Froedtert Hospital. The driver left the scene in what is believed to be a 2001 Lincoln Continental. An actual picture of the suspect vehicle is below. It should have front and passenger side damage.

We are asking for the public’s help in locating this vehicle.  If you own a scrap business and recently took this vehicle in, or if you recently bought a car matching this description with damage to it, please contact the Sheboygan Police Department at 920-459-3333.
